Charles Knox Freericks was a railfan who also took pictures in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and then again from the late 1970s until the end of his life in the late 1980s. He also worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for a period in the late 1950s, but did not record any of that time photographically. His great love was model railroading, and he was an avid Varney fan.
